Contents Page

As part of our e-portfolio work we have to research into different contents pages to find one of inspiration allowing us to recreate our own for our portfolio. As I am basing my portfolio on the marketing side of fashion which I’m hoping to take in university – I am looking to find contents pages which are quite intellectual and professional to reflect on my work in my portfolio.

I think this content page looks very neat and smart. The professional aspect of this contents page really shows – the use of the numbers in my opinion makes this connect page successful.

The use of colour is subtle but effective, the fact the numbers have been enlarged can draw a lot of attention away from the list of pages’ names. The use of font looks very simple but very neat.

Overall this contents page is very simple but very effective.

This contents page is one of my favourites I have seen and is inspiration for my own contents page.

This is one of the only ones I’ve seen where the background is a solid black blocked colour but I love how effective it is with black background and white writing. This contents page is extremely simple but I love how effective it is.

However, when making my contents page I want my to be very similar to this but I will be putting mine portrait as I find this is more suitable for what I want to achieve.

This contents page is different from the others as there is a lot of images and the others don’t include images at all.

The use of text is very small and difficult to read and it doesn’t contain a title. I don’t think a title is needed all the time but in my personal opinion I like titling my work.
I am not keen on this contents page as I don’t want mine to include any images at all, addition to this I don’t like how all these images are all very squared.

I think this contents page is successful and stands out. I really like the use of text and how the word ‘CONTENTS’ takes up one page and the list on the opposite page.

This is simple but effective. This definitely jumps out the page at the audience. Again, I find it really successfully effective using the white with black writing. The use of text is very bold and I find this is very strong as well.

However, I do want my contents page to only be on one page which is portrait and not across two pages like this contents page.

This contents page is very current and simple. I don’t normally like the use of images in a contents page as I find it too much. But having a little image at the top of the numbers makes this contents page strong.

This contents page has no title as instead it states the number as an abbreviation word ‘No’. this looks very distinctive and modern as it adds a very different twist to the contents page.

However, I do want my contents page to only be on one page which is portrait and not across two pages like this contents page.
