In our portfolio, we had to include our fashion promotion & styling project. We had to choose a collection and a store to create our own promotional campaign. I choose to study the store ZARA enticed with Street Style – for my promotional campaign I included;
- Business Card
- Logo
- Swing Tag
- Press Release
- Look Book

This is my own advert I have
created for my own promotional campaign as my theme ZARA Street Style AW17. My
advert was based on a new collection.
I wanted to put my own photography
in the background, the picture I used I didn’t like at first purely because the
light was shining on one of the models and it didn’t look effective. However,
fading out the picture made it look better and a lot more effective.
I added the logo I made for Zara
in the top left hand corner which looks quite effective as its going across my
photography and the white canvas. I have also advertised my look book within
the small print on my advert. I am pleased with my outcome of my advertisement,
I think it stands out quite a lot.
This is another business card
design which I much prefer and I have chosen as my final piece. I much prefer this business card
because I have used a picture in the background, which is the same picture as
the front of my look book but in black and white. I have still used my logo and
the same detail on the back of the business card apart from it’s on a black
background.
Logo
This is my logo I have created as
part of my promotional campaign for my Zara Street Style collection.
The original logo for ZARA is
extremely plain as it is literally just the title stating ‘ZARA’. So, for my
campaign I need to make my logo look slightly edgier. So, I simply got the
standard ZARA sign and in the original font; I started messing around with it
on photoshop using different brushes and techniques. I simply drew a cross
underneath the sign and I really liked it. It’s very simple and uneven but it
makes it look quite distinctive.
Swing Tag
This
is my final swing tag design. In the end, I used a street style picture from my
photoshoot faded out in the background with my logo on top. I did this so it
goes with my promotional campaign. I think my swing tag looks effective and
simple. I
have added the sizes of the certain garment underneath which cover the sizes in
different countries including; United Kingdom, Europe, United States, and
Australia. The
back of my swing tag is very plain just black and white, this is so it doesn’t
distract the information. I got this inspiration from the Topshop swing tags.
The information on the back of my swing tags include; ZARA logo, line number,
barcode, price, and sizes. I
am overall happy with the outcome of my swing tag, it goes with my promotional
package well.

This is my press release for my
own promotional campaign which is all about Zara Street Style AW17. I have kept this very simple so it
stands out; I have used the lines going down and across the page as I have used
these on my look book which look quite cool. I have used my logo I made else
well. I have written the press release as promoting my new collection and
promoting look books in store.
Look Book
I went to shoot a photoshoot in Birmingham which was
in digbeth were there is a lot of graffiti on the street and as my theme was
‘Street Style’ this was a perfect location. We also went to the ground of
Birmingham university to take some shots by the autumn tree to display my trend
is Autumn / Winter. I took all my picture on an iPhone 6. When making the production of my look book I came
across a lot of different problems and I had to do a lot of planning for each
page. To send my look book off to be printed I had to create a look book of 22
pages so I had to add some blank pages and more pages full of pages.
